Art Sticks: I'm Not an Artist. I Can't Draw. I Can Only Draw Stick Figures

What do you see when you look at a stick? Find a wood stick that "speaks to you," and bring it along with your favorite seed bead colors, acrylic paint, markers, and any other art materials you enjoy. You will use free-form right-angle weave (and your imagination) to create a sticks of personal meaning. You will create your art stick by expressing what you see.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience NanC Meinhardt’s three day workshop in a comfortable studio environment. If you’ve always thought about the possibility of joining one of NanC’s Master Classes or Arrowmont classes but haven’t quite been able to make the time committiment, then this is your chance!  Experience many of the same techniques and have access to NanC’s wisdom as she leads you through the creation of your very own Art Stick.

The creative process, a constant underlying subject in this workshop, will be explored and discussed. You will be asked to keep a journal reflecting your own process as you progress with your project. Each day will begin with your reflections on an internal or external aspect of your creative process.

The workshop will be held in Marcia DeCoster’s home studio in Lemon Grove California near San Diego). The workshop will be limited to 8 people. Accommodations and meals are the responsibility of the participant. Supply lists and location details will be sent to you with your registration confirmation. Requirements: You must be able to work Right Angle Weave unassisted in order to attend.

Reserve your spot with a $100 deposit, and then pay the balance of $300 by August 1. Or pay the total amount of $400. Contact me if you want to pay by check.
