Incredibly textural, these right angle weave beaded beads evoke the feeling of urchins with their undulating shape. The beads use different size beads and are embellished in such a way as to create a very firm structure.

Day 1:

Right Angle Weave is done using several sizes of seed beads to create the base of the bead. By the end of the day the student is ready to shape their bead with a layer of embellishment which pulls the bead into it's urchin shape.

Day 2:

Different sizes of urchin beads are explored as well as the beginning of the netted necklace and the tip of the lariat which extrudes from the one large bead.

Course Notes:

The beaded beads can be used along or grouped together on different types of necklaces for another design.
