A
Touch of Whimsy
Felted Beaded Pendants |
|
|
Day 1:
Using small amounts of wool roving create shapes which can then
be embelllished with a variety of different beads. The roving is
shaped into a ball, wet with hot soapy water and formed between
the hands to create the desired shape. An awl can be used to poke
a whole if desired or a loop can be attached. Then the fun begins
bringing a variety of embellishment techniques and added lampwork
or other larger beads to create the pendant.

Course Notes:
Hot soapy water and a few bowls as well as some waterproof work surfaces
are required for this class. I find that an electric teakettle works
very well for keeping enough hot water available. A large sheet of
bubble wrap and some towels keep the table top dry. |
