Create felted balls from bits of wool roving in varying colors, sizes and shapes and then have great fun embellishing them. They can be hung as pendants around your neck, or used to add a touch of whimsy to a purse. Smaller ones make great earrings!

All Dolled Up

These fun and whimsical dolls are created using peyote stitch in the round. I will take you through techniques for increasing and decreasing to create the goddess figure. Once the body has been completed, a special focal bead or a bezeled rivoli must then be added to serve as the head. To complete your beaded goddess you will give her hair and embellishments of your choice.

Fun, coloful and endlessly amusing, make an armful of bangles. Cover the core with right angle weave and use lot's and lot's of embellishment for a wild eclectic or richly jeweled look.

Have fun using tubular right angle weave to create a unique beaded bead. The properties of right angle weave allow for endless variation of surface embellishment, which reinforces the structure. Make one to wear on a chain or give as a gift. Make several, with variations of the same color palette and string together for the funky but fashionable look. Make one in an afternoon for instant gratification.

Blowing in the Wind Blowing in the Wind

This delightful round amulet contains a secret for the child in all of us, hidden inside is a bubble blower! The design allows for removing the bubble blower from its pouch for bubble blowing and for refilling. The amulet is worked using tubular peyote with a series of decreases and is then embellished. The bottle is covered in peyote and is fitted with a peyote stitched sleeve which slides up and down to reveal the bubble blower.

Collared Elegance Collared Elegance

This collar is a study in freeform techniques that result in a beautiful, wearable and versatile neckpiece. Given the many color variations you will find it easy to wear with most anything in your wardrobe. Created primarily with seed beads, this collar uses folds and layers of beads to give a supple texture. I call this technique soft peyote. Each of the elements which create the suppleness and shape will be illustrated along with many freeform techniques.

Take advantage of the lovely shape and sparkle of Swarovski rivoli crystals to enhance your glittery image. Learn to bezel and embellish these large foil backed crystals with the flexible quality of right angle weave and connect them in a pleasing collage to be worn at your neck or if you rather on your wrist. The collage will be suspended between bands of crystals for a truly stunning look.

Freeform leaves cascade gracefully from each end of an ndebele lariat. The leaves are gradated in color from dark to light and created using freeform peyote techniques. The three sided ndebele neckchain is then made incorporating accent beads along the length. The lariat can be worn short to add interest to any neckline or worn long as your fashion sense dictates.

Lace Cap Beads

Have fun using a variety of seed beads, crystals and pearls to cover a bead of your choice. A new technique will be used to create two lace caps which are then joined around your larger bead encapsulating it with sparkle and color. The resulting bead can worn alone on a thin cable or strung with several others for a stunning necklace.

You will delight in making and wearing this exquisitely designed bracelet. Each of five beads is made using the versatility of right angle weave. The beads are surface embellished with a variety of techniques making each one its own unique piece of art. The completed beads are strung with the added sparkle and design element of swarovski crystal and separated with faceted stones. A unique ring and toggle complete.

Using both right angle weave and peyote stitch create a delightfully feminine round amulet. The purse provides lots of opportunity for surface embellishment so each one can be uniquely decorated. Ringlets – Use the flexible properties of right angle weave to cover a handful of colorful rings.  Learn multiple ways to adjust the  base right angle weave or embellish the finished ring to create unending variety.  Made with bright colors they exude stylish fun, but a subdued or metallic pallete would add holiday glitter at your neck.  Wear one or several on a chain. These are great for gifting!

Inspired by the many crosses which are part of Venice architecture, this cross is designed connecting small medallions into the cross shape and backing them with right angle weave. Each medallion is it’s own small jewel and uniquely yours. The cross is suspended from a length of ndebele studded with swarovski crystals.
