| Magical Moebius Purse | ||||
| Starting with the magic of
the continuous moebius loop, introduce some fabulous fibers and create
an artistic purse. If you can knit and purl you can do it! You will
be led through the moebius cast on, appropriate bind-offs, creating
openings with waste yarn, introducing some playful elements into your
purse and finally a discussion on the felting process which results
in the sturdy fabric of your creation.
Day 1: Cast on the moebius band. Introduce the waste yarn opening for the purse. Review 2 different bind offs. You will complete your moebius strap during the week between classes. Day 2: Pick up waste yarn stitches and begin your purse. Introduce novelty yarns, learn how to add baubles, pockets, and decrease to the bottom of your purse. Discussion on how to felt your purse, once your knitting is complete. |
